Dance Lessons
Dance Lessons
Thirty 50 minute lessons in a group setting covering six different dances over the course of the year: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Rhumba and Cha-cha.
One weekly ‘come and go’ session for members to practice their dance techniques.
Access to all social and dinner dances the club hosts throughout the year. Tickets for each dance are sold separately and members pay a reduced rate.
How much does it cost?
For an entire year (30weeks) it costs $350.00 per couple; that is $5.83 per person, per class. The club is run by a volunteer board and operates mostly out of school gymnasiums; this allows us to offer excellent value for your registration fee.
When can I join?
Registration typically starts in early September but you can join anytime. Contact us at: westviewdanceinfo@gmail.com Classes run from September through May.
Where are the classes held?
The Westview Dance Club operates out of various schools in the St. James-Assiniboia School Division.
How large are the classes?
Currently, classes are from 6-9 couples. The club’s aim is to provide optimal instruction.
I have some dance experience; do I have to start at the beginning?
New members should indicate their dance experience when registering. Our instructors will make every attempt to place you in a suitable class. If the class is not meeting your needs then let us know and we will work to find a better fit.
Do I need a partner?
We offer classes for couples, however, singles may go on a wait list. Contact us at: Westviewdanceinfo@gmail.com If a suitable partner is found then the individual will be notified. The single member will only pay the registration fee ($175) once a suitable partner has been found. Dancers must be registered club members (no drop-ins).
